Skagit County Sees Local Business Growth and Community Support

Calico Cupboard Relocates to Burlington

Calico Cupboard Old Town Cafe & Bakery is moving its La Conner location. The popular eatery will open in Burlington on May 21. Its new address is 106 North Skagit Street. This new space offers a larger area for customers.

The bakery first opened in La Conner in 1981. It later moved to Mount Vernon before returning to La Conner. This latest move marks another chapter for the long-standing business. The Burlington location will employ approximately 35 people. This provides significant local job opportunities.

Tourism Funding Available for Skagit County

Skagit County is now accepting applications for its Tourism Promotion Area Fund. This program aims to boost local tourism efforts. Qualified organizations can apply for grants up to $50,000. A total of $250,000 is available.
