Adrienne F. Kubasik Fisk: Honoring a Life of Service in Jamestown, NY
Adrienne F. Kubasik Fisk, a dedicated public servant and lifelong resident of Jamestown, New York, passed away peacefully. She was 84 years old. Ms. Fisk’s passing occurred on Monday, October 20, 2025, at UPMC Chautauqua. Her memory will be treasured by her family. The Jamestown community also mourns her loss.
Early Life and Educational Journey
Born in Jamestown on October 25, 1940, Adrienne was the daughter of Frank and Dorothy Kubasik. She grew up with strong local roots. Her early education took place at Sacred Heart Parochial School. She later graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958. Ms. Fisk pursued further education. She attended Jamestown Community College. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. This degree was from Empire State College in 1993. Her commitment to lifelong learning was clear.
A Distinguished Career in Public Service
Ms. Fisk dedicated many years to public service within Jamestown. She began her career with the City of Jamestown Recreation Department. She then moved to the City Court. Here, she served as a City Court Clerk. Additionally, she held the position of Confidential Clerk for Judge John T. Ward. Her most notable role was Jamestown City Clerk. She held this vital position from 1985. She retired from this role in 1996. Adrienne Fisk’s work significantly shaped local government operations.
Community Involvement and Personal Interests
Beyond her professional duties, Adrienne was an active community member. She served as a past president of the Jamestown City Employees Union. She was also a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Her strong faith was evident. She belonged to Holy Apostles Parish. Ms. Fisk also actively participated in the Red Hat Society. In her leisure time, Adrienne enjoyed various hobbies. She loved reading books and crocheting. Knitting and sewing were also favorite pastimes. Furthermore, she found joy in gardening and traveling. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her beloved family.
Family Legacy and Survivors
Adrienne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter E. Fisk. They shared a loving marriage together. Two of her children, Kathleen Fisk and Michael Fisk, also passed away earlier. Her sister, Beverly A. Dinsmore, also predeceased her. Adrienne’s legacy continues through her surviving family. She is survived by her children: Mary (Jim) Smith, Patrick (Karen) Fisk, and Bridget (David) Bloomquist. She also leaves behind numerous cherished grandchildren. These include Lauren, Justin, Ryan, and Zachary Smith. Allison and Jacob Fisk are also among her grandchildren. Tyler, Andrew, and Erin Bloomquist complete this list. She was a proud great-grandmother to Walter and Madilynn Smith. Adrienne is also survived by her sister, Joan (Stanley) Johnson. Her family was a deep source of pride and affection.
Funeral Services and Remembrance
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. A Vigil Service will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2025. This service will be held at the Lind Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. It is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2025. The service will be held at Holy Apostles Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Reverend Paul J. Cygan will officiate the ceremony. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be directed to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care. Contributions can also be made to Holy Apostles Parish. These gestures honor Adrienne’s compassionate spirit and community dedication.
