Her professional journey spanned 37 years. Mrs. Abbey worked at several respected institutions. These included Gowanda State Hospital. She also served at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Together, they built a beautiful family. They raised three sons. These sons are Robert S. (Carol) Abbey, Ronald J. (Kathleen) Abbey, and Randall P. (Cynthia) Abbey. Mrs. Abbey was a devoted mother. She greatly cherished her role in the family.
Her family grew significantly over time. She was a beloved grandmother to ten grandchildren. Furthermore, she enjoyed the company of fifteen great-grandchildren.
